Windows 7 Release candidate
Windows 7 will be launched on October 22, 2009 and the final version is nearly finished. The latest version is the ‘release candidate’ and PC Mag has checked it out all the new features and also published a slideshow with 50 shots. Will you upgrade to Windows 7?

iPhone OS 3 out today
Today Apple will launch the new and updated OS 3.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. I just checked iTunes but it wasn’t available yet. As you probably know you will get MMS, copy&paste, landscape keyboard, spotlight search and many other new features in the longed-for update. Here’s a summary of all the news in OS 3.0.

TweetDeck for iPhone tonight?
According to WebProNews, TweetDeck for iPhone will be released later today (9pm pacific time). TweetDeck is one of the most popular desktop Twitter clients and the iPhone client will be a free application.

USB cassette player
If you have lots of old cassette tapes in your drawers you might be interested in this nice little gadget that will convert your old tapes into more useable mp3 files. You still need to record the audio on a PC or Mac though – I would have loved a cassette player that just converted the audio automatically into media files and stored them on a memory card.
Sony DSC-H20 – review
The Sony DSC-H20 isn’t a brand new camera, but it’s still a reallly interesting point-and-shoot camera with an optical zoom of 10 x and a resolution of 10 megapixels. USB Solar charging device
Here is an interesting USB hub that isn’t just a device that gives you more USB connectors, it also has a built-in solar panel that will let you charge usb enabled devices. There is no information about how powerful so if you have used a similar device, please comment about your experience. More images and information inside.
