Satellite Direct
Satellite Direct is a $50-software that is supposed to give thousands of HD channels distributed over the Internet. It’s a scam, and it only gives you a few channels in lousy quality. It’s basically the kind of content you can find for free on one of these sites. Stay away from Satellite Direct.
Delivery from Geekware
A few days ago I ordered the nice Asteroids clock and a few other cool things from Geekware, and I just wanted to share some photos of these nice products. I think the Asteroids clock is a really nice.
Here’s the floppy disk notebook ($9.95)

And a nice little keyboard keychain made out of an old ‘Home’ button ($4.95)

A keyboard magnet set ($9.95)

And a nice little business card holder which in fact is an old compact cassette crystal case.

Check out more stuff over at Geekware.
HTC Desire – 13 pages review
The HTC Desire is one of the most interesting phones this spring, and even iPhone addicts seem to be interested in this phone. Here’s one of the best reviews I’ve stumbled across so far – 13 pages with lots and lots of information. And they really like it. Here’s a snap from their final verdict:
In short, this is a phenomenal phone – one of the best we’ve ever had on TechRadar. Usually when we like a phone on the first use, we end up horribly disappointed after a little time with it, but the HTC Desire kept on performing and achieving when we thought it wouldn’t.

Canon EOS 550D – unboxing
Today I got my new 18 megapixel Canon EOS 550D. As usual, I’ll share a few photos from the holy unboxing procedure.
Canon PowerShot A3100 IS – review
Over at PhotographyBlog you can read a nice review of the brand new $175 Canon PowerShot A3100 IS and it looks like it’s a great first digital camera. Here’s a snap from their conclusion: “So while this camera won’t set the world on fire, it is a great introduction to the world of digital photography.“. Check out the full review:

Atari Game Cartridge Clocks
Over at Geekware you can get hold of some very nice original Atari game cartridges that have been converted into desk clocks. They are $24.95 and a piece and I just bought the ‘Asteroids’ cartridge so I guess that you have to choose between the ‘Ms Pacman’ or ‘Centipede’ if you want one of these lovely clocks.

I got control – iPhone remote
‘I got control’ is a new, clever iPhone device that can turn your phone (or iPod touch / iPad) into a IR remote. The attachement measures 50mm (L) x 29.6mm (W) x 10.4mm (H) and it weighs 14 grams (half an ounce). The device has a price tag of $69.95, so it’s a bit pricey but it can be useful if you want to use your phone to take full control of your media equipment. You need to get the application from the App store as well. I guess you can have quite some fun with it too, just take it to your local sports bar and start switching the channels…

HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One: review
I’ve been using the HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One for almost two weeks now, and I’d like to share my impressions of this $200 printer.
Nokia C6
It looks like the first image of the new Nokia C6 has leaked out. It doesn’t look like it will be a groundbreaking phone though, and it’s probably going to be a low budget phone. We will publish more details as soon as we get any.
Internet Explorer 9 – test drive
A platform demo version of Internet Explorer 9 have been released by Microsoft. It’s a Windows only software but it can be of interest to see what this future browser might look like, even though there’s a lot of development to do before a final version will be officially available. To try the new browser you need Windows Vista SP2 (With Platform Upgrade) or Windows 7, and an existing Internet Explorer 8 installation.
