30 years of Apple computers in 2 minutes
This guy has made a short movie featuring all of his Apple computers – lots of them! It’s quite interesting to see how ugly they were at some point, especially the big, bulky beige ones.

Pivot Power, Adjustable Power Strip
Pivot Power is one of the nicest power strips I have seen so far. It’s clever design makes it possible to adjust the form and bend it into circular, semi-circular, and zig zag shapes. The Strip was designed by Quirky’s community members in just one week! More information and images inside.
iLounges iPhone 4 review
Yeah, I know, lots of iPhone 4 postings the last few days – but it’s the most interesting gadget released on the market for quite some time. Here’s a nice 10 page review from iLounge and it’s a nice run-through of all the bells and whistles. It ain’t all good though since they gathered quite a big ‘cons’ list:
Cons: Smudge, scratch, and shatter issues await users who avoid cases. Antenna reception is more noticeably reduced under some conditions than on prior iPhones, particularly impeding cellular performance in certain indoor environments. Despite improved screen, user interface is only modestly improved from iPhone 3GS. Lowest capacity version feels cramped given video recording capabilities and release of high-resolution apps. High-resolution video output to monitors is confusingly limited; video calling is presently incompatible with even Apple’s own iChat application. Data consumption due to higher-resolution screen is ill-suited to lowest-end limited data service plans. Sole U.S. cellular data provider AT&T continues to provide inconsistent and sometimes poor service.

Engadget’s latest show is just published. And it’s another nice episode well worth watching.
Well we’ve made it to our tenth show, and it was nothing short of explosive! For our entry into the world of double digits, we sat down with Late Night host (and all around awesome dude) Jimmy Fallon for a lengthy and hilarious conversation about games, gadgets, “The Wizard,” and much, much more. Then Microsoft’s Kudo Tsunoda joined the team onstage for a demo of the company’s Kinect — including a look at how the underlying tech actually works. Finally, Josh, Nilay, Paul, and Joanna sat down to rap about — and play with — the latest and greatest gadgets (including some unreleased gear).
Panasonic RP-HC700 – noise canceling headphones
Noise canceling is an interesting technology and the last few years it has become really efficient. The latest pair of headphones from Panasonic (the RP-HC700) claims that they block 92% of the outside noise – quite a bold statement if it’s true. I guess I have to try a pair later on and see how they actually work since I’m flying quite often. Full press release inside.
The HP TouchSmart 600
I really like all of the new products from Apple that hit the market, and tend to dislike traditional PC machines because I simply think they are boring and less attractive. One of the newest computers I like though, is the HP TouchSmart 600. Check out the videos inside to see why, it’s actually a really cool machine.
Zoom H1 Handy Recorder
Here’s a new, small recorder from Samson Audio. What’s really intersting about the Zoom H1 is the fact that it’s really small, pretty cheap ($99), and features the same microphones as the H2 (the most popular handheld recorder in the world). Overpriced HDMI cables
Here’s a quite amusing story about overpriced HDMI cables – and of course, they are a scam. But there’s an interesting angle to this story and a logical explanation to why the chains keep pushing these expensive cables.

From the attic: Laserdisc
Laserdisc was a video format that was quite big in Asia in the 1980/1990′s. It was never a hit in Europe, and in USA 2% (roughly two million units) of the households had a Laserdisc player. Here’s a few shots of one of my old Laserdiscs (Star Wars) that I took today.
