It looks like Apple has slashed the price of the MacBook Air with a solid state disk with $500. The screenshots above are from today and a month ago. $2600 is still a lot of money but a bit more decent. And just to let you know - the same freakin machine will cost you $4676 if you buy it from Sweden…that’s correct $2000 more than the US price.

They have been working on the device for 6 years so it ought to be good. At least you get the air condition system as they use in formula 1 cars. It is a sadistic alarm clock called ‘Tyrant’. The alarm clock is supposed to take over your mobile phone if you don’t turn the alarm off and dial a new random number every 3 minutes…

The guys at USC Lab have invented a cheap and innovative solution for presenting 3D holographic displays like the Star Wars Tie Fighter above. The basics of the design is a rotating mirror and a heavily modified DLP projector. Check out the video after the jump, pretty impressive!
