I guess that some of my youngest readers never even seen a compact cassette - and that just makes this nice lamp even cooler. Each lamp is hand made out of old cassette tapes and they come in various sizes and shapes. Here is another example:

If you are used to battle over the docking station to get some juice into your ipod this can be a solution for you. Personally I think it’s overkill but I guess there is a need for a device like this somewhere in the world, haha. It aint too pricey - $150 and it will be yours to take home.

So you thought that a 1080p display and movies on nice high resolution blu-ray discs would be the final solution? Think again. There is a bunch of these big screens with ultra high resolution coming out in the next couple of years, like the 56″ from Sapphire featuring a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (four times the resolution of a 1080p display).

In a couple of weeks you will be able to go out and buy yourself a 64GB compact flash card. The card is capable of reading and writing with a speed of 45MB per second and you should be able to store around 19000 high resolution jpeg images on the card. No word on pricing yet but it won’t be cheap…
