Original Pac-Man concept drawings
The Pac-Man arcade game was released in 1980 by Namco and it’s probably the most famous arcade game ever. 1up.com has published a few concept drawings made by Toru Iwatani, the creator of Pac-Man, from 1979. Pretty cool stuff.

Space Invaders HD – iPad review
Today Taito launched a HD version of their famous Space Invaders for the iPad. The original game was designed by Tomohiro Nishikado and was a huge hit in the arcades back in the 80s. The app is $4.99 and here’s our verdict.

Angry Birds 1.3.3
If I should pick one game that you should get for your iPhone I would definitely go for Angry Birds. It’s really addictive and lots of fun. A few minutes Clickgamer launched the new version 1.3.3 with 15 new levels (level 8). So go update if you own the game, and if you don’t at least try the free version – I think you’ll like it.

Delivery from Geekware
A few days ago I ordered the nice Asteroids clock and a few other cool things from Geekware, and I just wanted to share some photos of these nice products. I think the Asteroids clock is a really nice.
Here’s the floppy disk notebook ($9.95)

And a nice little keyboard keychain made out of an old ‘Home’ button ($4.95)

A keyboard magnet set ($9.95)

And a nice little business card holder which in fact is an old compact cassette crystal case.

Check out more stuff over at Geekware.
Atari Game Cartridge Clocks
Over at Geekware you can get hold of some very nice original Atari game cartridges that have been converted into desk clocks. They are $24.95 and a piece and I just bought the ‘Asteroids’ cartridge so I guess that you have to choose between the ‘Ms Pacman’ or ‘Centipede’ if you want one of these lovely clocks.

The E3 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center between June 15-17 and hopefully we will see the upcoming PSP 2 (mockup above) and 3D gaming amongst other interesting stuff. Check out the full list over at GamingBolt.

Avatar for the Atari 2600
The Australian freelance designer ‘Penney Design’ has created a bunch of retro looking package designs for modern TV series and movies. Above you can see what James Cameron’s Avatar would look like if it would have been released 30 years ago for the Atari 2600. At his Tumblr-site you can see other package designs for Lost, Prison Break, Cloverfield and Snakes on a plane.
Arcade Hockey for iPhone
Touch Hockey from FS5 was one of the first games I installed for the iPhone and I haven’t used it more than a couple of times but it’s still a quite OK game. Today I bought the $2.99 game Arcade Hockey from Brainjuice. It’s basically the same game in another costume. Here’s a mini review.
