There have been quite a lot of talk about an upcoming new BlackBerry model, and today Research in Motion announced the new Bold model. It’s a quite cool phone loaded with fetures like built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, high resolution 480 x 320 pixel screen and a fast 624 MHz mobile processor. The launch date will be late June. Yesterday someone found this interesting dropdown containing a new iPhone model over at AT&T’s website. It is probably just a place holder for the 3G phone but you never know - the official name might just be iPhone black.

I suppose Steve Jobs ain’t too found of the leaked AT&T memo that says that store employees should avoid taking vacations between June 15th and July 12th since there will be an “an exciting Summer Promotional launch,” - just happens that it’s a few days after Mr Jobs next keynote…3G iPhone, here we come.

Today Vodafone announced that they will launch the iPhone in ten markets, and those markets are Australia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Italy, India, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa and Turkey. I was expecting a new iPhone from Apple that would come independently from any operator…

According to this post over at Fortune/CNN, AT&T is planning to cut the price of the upcoming iPhone model to $199 - that is if you sign a two-year contract so the deal might sound better than it actually is. The article also tells us that the a new model will debut on June 27, that it will be 2.5 mm thinner than the first one and that it will come with a new GPS chip.

Today I got one of the latest phones from Nokia in the mail and I just wanted to share the unboxing experience with you guys. The 7900 Crystal Prism is designed by the French artist Frédérique Daubal and I am not sure why I got one since it is a fashion phone for women, but anyway here is the gallery.

I was never a fan of the hyped Nokia N95, but at least the upcoming Nokia N96 looks a bit nicer. It is basically the same phone in a new package and some small upgrades here and there. I am a bit disappointed that they still have that low resolution screen only capable of displaying 320×240 though - but other than that you will get DVB-H television (available in Asia and some European countries), 16 GB of internal memory, GPS, 5 megapixel camera with great video capabilities and radio. The next couple of days there is a big trade show in Barecelona called 3GSM focusing on the next generation of mobile phones and related technology. Tonight Sony Ericsson held a big press event where they showed a bunch of new phones including their upcoming flag ship model Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.

It is a direct competitor to Apple’s iPhone and it’s actually a better phone if you just compare the tech specs: turbo 3G, 3.2 megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard and touch sensitive screen and radio. It’s a very exciting model and we have published some info and pictures and video after the link.
