Today Apple will launch the new and updated OS 3.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. I just checked iTunes but it wasn’t available yet. As you probably know you will get MMS, copy&paste, landscape keyboard, spotlight search and many other new features in the longed-for update. Here’s a summary of all the news in OS 3.0.

It’s 6am in Toronto and my iPhone is still up to date with OS 2.2.1. So what the hell? I’ve been waiting far too long and now I’m disappointed.
Looks like we have to wait for Apple to wake up over in Cali!!!

It’s apparent that Apple won’t be releasing the Os3 today (according to a web site which I can’t found now) apparently it will be released on the 18th (Possible due to a hacker group which managed to tweak OS3 for any network!!!) Hmmmm

Relax… it’s 12:15pm Eastern Standard here in the States, and no release yet. In Cupertino it’s still 9:15am, so if they are doing a noon release, it won’t be til 3pm here, or 9am onward for you folks in the UK.

It should have been for download for 16 minutes! It’s 19:17(7:17 PM) in central Europe and no update is available…

Ok new this would be too good to be true !!! Downloaded update installed up date firmware flashing then all of a sudden before it finished iTunes ERROR “We could not complete your iTunes Store request” !!!!
Has anyone else having problems?
Yep, I’m in Washington, D.C. and I am stuck with that same error Vince. Apple’s servers are being swamped by all the users trying to download it. Just have to wait and keep mashing that update button.
By the way it’s 3:05pm here I don’t know why this blog doesn’t have a timestamp.

thats what I though, LOL I turned off the pc Rebooted it then opened itunes and Yipee it finished it of, thank god.
just playing about with the phone now.
