Original Pac-Man concept drawings

The Pac-Man arcade game was released in 1980 by Namco and it’s probably the most famous arcade game ever. 1up.com has published a few concept drawings made by Toru Iwatani, the creator of Pac-Man, from 1979. Pretty cool stuff.

    The Pac-Man arcade game was released in 1980 by Namco and it’s probably the most famous arcade game ever.   Good.

    At the recent Festival of Games in Utrecht, Netherlands, Pac-Man series creator Toru Iwatani had a little secret to share! No, not that kind.

     A speaker at the event, Iwatani decided to surprise the attendees by whipping out the original Pac-Man concept drawings from 1979.

    What coincidental timing! Pac-Man just celebrated his 30th birthday, an event celebrated at E3 2010.
