Google via your voice

Search on Google with your voice

If you are a regular reader of Fosfor you probably know that I am a big fan of both the iPhone and Google, and there’s no surprise that I really dig this upcoming new application from Google that includes speech recognition and simply will let you ask your iPhone questions by using your voice. Amazingly neat!

The official specifications for USB 3.0 will most probably become official in the next couple of days but one of the most important benefits with an upgrade is the increased bandwidth and transfer speed. USB 1.1: 9.3 hours
USB 2.0: 13.9 minutes
USB 3.0: 70 seconds

Top 10 greatest geeks of all time

Linus Torvalds

I’m a fan of Top 10 lists, especially gadget related ones but I found this unusual list of the top 10 greatest geeks of all time. I’m a bit surprised that names like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates didn’t make it to the geek list but it’s still worth a quick look.

TV with built-in blu-ray player

Allio PCTV

I would personally prefer a cheaper TV without a built-in PC or blu-ray player, but it’s still really interesting to see all these new machines hitting the market in a rapid pace. The Allio PCTV comes with a built-in home theater PC including a blu-ray drive. The flagship model is $2799…
