Google Instant launched today
If you’ve been using Google the last few hours you might have noticed that you are getting instant search results. Pretty neat if you ask me. Here’s Google launch video describing their new service:
Google went down today
At least the Gmail service has been down quite a lot in the last month (at least 3-4 times) and today Google had some serious problems that affected a lot of their services. Their services has been very stable for the last couple of years but now it looks like they have some serious infrastructure problems at Google.

9 tips for Google voice search
As you might already know, Google’s new voice search for iPhone got released yesterday and the reactions have been both good and bad. Personally I thought it was pretty bad at interpreting the voice data and converting it into searches but sometime it worked like a charm. Google’s own Matt Cutts has put together a bunch of tips to make it easier to use the new app.

Google iPhone voice search today?
Google planned to launch their new voice search for iPhone already this Friday but it wasn’t possible due to Apple. According to an article over at TechCrunch the updated app will go live sometime today. I just checked the app store and it wasn’t there yet.

Google voice search video demo

Yesterday I told you that Google is about to launch a new voice search for iPhone and I just wanted to share a short video demonstration of the new service. Looks like a neat service. I especially like the motion detection that eliminates most of the button pushing. Video after the link.
Google via your voice
If you are a regular reader of Fosfor you probably know that I am a big fan of both the iPhone and Google, and there’s no surprise that I really dig this upcoming new application from Google that includes speech recognition and simply will let you ask your iPhone questions by using your voice. Amazingly neat!

Google anno 2001
Google turned 10 years old a couple of days ago and to celebrate this they brought back their oldest index available – and made it searchable. Pretty cool, check it out. A search for ‘blog’ will give you 76 400 hits, today the same search gives you 3,450,000,000 hits.

New Google reader for iPhone
Google just launched a new beta version of the Google reader for iPhone and other modern mobile devices. It looks quite nice and is very similar to the list view in the desktop version.
This new version is designed to offer many of the same features as the desktop, while making it quick and easy to act on items. If you’ve used list view, then it should be familiar to you. Scan the titles for an item that interests you, tap and it expands in place. Starring, sharing, and keeping unread are done in place, so you never have to leave the list view or refresh the page. We think it’s a very fast way to power through your reading list.
