Rage for iPhone / iPad is out
Today the highly anticipated game ‘Rage’ from id Software is launched in the App Store. It’s a pretty impressive game, even though it feels a bit more like a cool tech demo. Check out the video below (from TouchArcade) to see what you can expect from this game. It’s available in a SD and a HD version, and if you’re having an iPhone 3G or a 3Gs you should probably go with the SD version.
Oh, and if you buy the game and have TV adapter, try plugging in your iPhone / iPad while you play the game…you can play the game on your TV – really neat!

DOOM 4
One of the most influental games ever, DOOM, will ‘soon’ (well, at least they have started working on it) get a new, fresh version – DOOM 4. id Software hasn’t really said anything worth knowing, but they published the following a short statement on their homepage today:
Production has begun on DOOM 4™, the next journey into the legendary DOOM universe. We are expanding our internal team and are currently hiring to work on this highly anticipated title.
“DOOM is part of the id Software DNA and demands the greatest talent and brightest minds in the industry to bring the next installment of our flagship franchise to Earth,” said Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software. “It’s critical for id Software to have the best creative minds in-house to develop games that meet the standards synonymous with our titles.”
The DOOM franchise is one of the most recognizable and important in gaming history, having been named “one of the ten most influential games of the decade” by PC Gamer and “the #1 game of all time” by GameSpy. DOOM 4 will join the award-winning series which has consistently topped sales charts throughout the world.
Oh yes, and please bear in mind that ‘soon’ will probably mean that it will take at least 1.5 years before DOOM 4 is out in a store near you.
