Fingerpainting with the iPad
You got to have some true skills to be able to paint like David Kassan in the video above but it’s still cool to see how the iPad can be used. The model sat for 3 hours and he recorded this video (timelapsed) showing how he put it all together with an iPad and the Brushes app. Pretty impressive!
iPad coming to 9 more countries on Friday
I just got this message from the PR department at Apple that the iPad will be available in 9 more countries this Friday (July 23): Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore. More info inside.
12 awesome Photo apps for iPad
The iPad can be a great tool for playing around with your photos and even though the device don’t feature a camera it’s easy to transfer your photos to the iPad. Here’s a list of 12 awesome photo apps for the iPad. And if you’re missing one just add a comment.
Space Invaders HD – iPad review
Today Taito launched a HD version of their famous Space Invaders for the iPad. The original game was designed by Tomohiro Nishikado and was a huge hit in the arcades back in the 80s. The app is $4.99 and here’s our verdict.
EZ Cam Lite for iPad / iPhone
It’s a big bummer that the iPad doesn’t feature a camera so if you need a quick way to snap photos with the iPad the ‘EZ Cam Lite’ is a neat solution. Basically you just install the app on your iPhone and your iPhone, choose to connect either via ‘bumping’ (didn’t work for me) or via bluetooth (worked just fine).
Wikihood for iPad
Wikihood is a free app for iPad that pulls information from Wikipedia based on your geo location and present it either based on distance, relevance or ratings. It’s a quite clever application and even though the interface isn’t top notch it’s still a very cool application. I learned stuff about my neighborhood that I didn’t knew before.
iPad OS 3.2.1 is out

Oh, it’s update frenzy tonight. Apparently 3.2.1 for iPad has just been released as well. Here’s what you get with the update:
* Improved Wi-Fi connectivity
* Fixed an issue that stops the copy/paste of single-page PDFs in Mail
* Addressed issues that causes video playback to freeze
* Improved reliability involving the video-out using the iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter
* Added Bing to Safari’s search options
So go get that one as well if you’re an iPad owner.
2 Screens LE – web browsing on an external screen with iPad
A few days ago I wrote a short note on the iPad VGA Adapter and the fact that it couldn’t mirror the iPad display on an external display. Today I found a new program called ’2 Screens LE’ which enables web browsing on the external screen. It’s a $1.99 app and it actually works even though it’s very sluggish. It only updates the display every approx 0.5 seconds so it doesn’t look very smooth, but it solves my problem of hooking up the iPad and showing a web page on the big screen. More images and info inside.
Nice leather iPad case
I’ve browsed around different stores to find a nice, new case for my iPad. One of the nicest I’ve found so far is this leather case from Temple Bags. It’s made out of oiled leather and features vertical and horizontal viewing stand options. More images and info inside.
IMDB for iPad
If you haven’t tried the free IMDB app for iPad you are in for a surprise. It’s one of the best iPad apps I’ve tried so far and if you’re a movie buff like myself, you’re in for a treat. It’s much more fun to browse around than the traditional site and stuff like trailers are really well integrated.
