According to this recent post over at Macworld, an Apple spokesperson Natalie Harrison confirmed that the bug officially exists “We’re aware of an issue related to non repeating alarms set for January 1 or 2,” she also said. “Customers can set recurring alarms for those dates and all alarms will work properly beginning January 3.
Broken Sword for iPad – free
Broken Sword Director’s Cut is currently free for download in the App Store. It’s not my cup of tea regarding games, but it has got nice ratings:
“…this is a must-play game: a latter day blockbuster in a director’s cut form”. The Independent online (5/5)
“An extraordinary example of how to properly remake a classic”. Pocket Gamer (9/10)
So if you got some 600MB to spare on your iPad, go get it!

I wish you all a Happy New Year! Check out this cool mashup clip featuring Steve Jobs pitching the iPad for the Dragons’ Den.
iPad finally launched in Scandinavia

Tomorrow iPad will finally be launched in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Many Apple lovers have of course already bought one from abroad (there’s approximately 40 000 iPads already in Sweden according to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet) but now it’s possible to buy an official iPad. The actual launch will take place in about 20 minutes (30 Nov, 00:00, GMT +1) and some stores have open during the night to start deliver the goods. I guess Apple isn’t to happy about this launch since some of the sites started publishing the information about the upcoming iPad way too early, like MediaMarkt.se.
Thanksgiving bargains from Gameloft

iOS 4.2.1 will be launched today, 10 a.m. Pacific Time

Today is the day many iPad owners have been waiting for – the roll out of iOS 4.2.1. With this update the iPad will get support for folders, multitasking, AirPrint, AirPlay, better email, TV rentals and a few other neat updates. So plug in your iPad (and your iPhones and iPods as well of course) and start your iTunes in a few minutes to get the update.
Update: It’s live! And it’s 4.2, not 4.2.1 so expect another update within the next few days.
Over 250 000 apps in App Store
According to the latest metrics from 148apps there are now over 250 000 apps in the App Store. Let’s say that you try out 10 new apps every day. Then it will take you 25 000 days, or over 68 years to try them all…

The Boa Push iPad bag
I just found this really nice iPad bag called the ‘Boa Push’. It’s tailor made for the iPad and also features a bunch of other nice pockets for your phone, credit card etc. It’s made out of nappa leather and twylon. More images and info inside.
Vimeo is now running HTML 5

Check out the shot above. The same web page from Vimeo on my MacBook, my iPad and my iPhone – yes, most of the videos on Vimeo are now delivered via HTML 5 instead of Flash. Lovely and kudos to Vimeo who’s not nagging about Flash compability and just solves the problem with iPad/iPhone browsing! Read more about it at the newteevee blog.
