StopMotion Recorder – iPhone app review
StopMotion Recorder is a cute little $0.99 app that will let you record short stop motion videos with your iPhone. Here’s our short review of the app.
Interview with Takayuki Fukatsu, famous App developer
Two of my all time favorite apps for the iPhone are QuadCamera and the TiltShift Generator. They are both designed and developed by the wiz Takayuki Fukatsu and today I made this interview with him.
Pro HDR – snap better iPhone 4 photos
Taking photos when there’s a combination of light and dark areas is kind of difficult, and to be able to capture even those moments there’s a technique called ‘HDR’ (short for High dynamic range imaging). You basically snap two photos with different exposure settings and combine the two images. There’s a great app for iPhone that does this process automatically, and the end results is pretty good!
Autostitch for iPhone – review
As the iPhone 4 features a really good camera different camera apps become more and more interesting. Today I tried the ‘Autostitch’ app from Cloudburst Research which is capable of stitching a bunch of images and creating 1 larger panorama photo.
Skype is now multitasking
One of the biggest problems with the old version of Skype for iPhone was that it didn’t multitask. You had to have the app open for anybody to be able to call you. With the latest version that got released yesterday you can receive calls while other apps are running and you can even continue your calls while you switch to another app. So if they just add video chat everything will be great!

Filemaker Go for iPad & iPhone
I just got a press kit from Filemaker letting us know that the ‘Filemaker Go’ for iPad ($39.99) and iPhone ($19.99) just went live in the app store. I’m not a filemaker user myself so I won’t do a review of the app but I’ll maybe post a few review links later on. Video and more info inside.
Angry Birds 1.4
Rovio launched the new iPhone version of Angry Birds tonight. In the 1.4 version you’ll get a new world, 15 new levels and a new bird, so go update.

My measures – iPhone app
I just saw that ‘My measures’ is on sale today (1st birthday) and thought I write a short plug for it since I think it’s a nice app. It’s a really clever application that will let you snap a photo and then add measures as a new layer on top of the photo. The interface is really user friendly and it’s to get the measurements correct – and yes you have to the measuring manually.

iPhone Lonely Planet guides for free
Due to the ash cloud problems in Europe, Lonely Planet has decided to provide a bunch of their guides for free. Just do a search for ‘Lonely Planet’ in your i*-device and you can get some guides for free during a limited time.
Opera Mini for iPhone released
Today Apple approved and launched the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch web browser Opera Mini in the app store – which actually surprised me a bit since it’s a product that goes head on with the built-in Safari browser. After a quick test I must say that the first version disappoints me. It feels a bit sluggish (not loading time, but the scrolling and zooming part). It’s not that intuitive as the Safari browser. The biggest advantage I have noticed so far is that it’s easier to open pages and links in new tabs, and that Opera can store login information. Regardless, it’s nice to see some competition to Apple’s built-in products and Opera will most probably get better in future versions
