3 Million iPads sold in 80 days

The success Apple are having with iPad is huge. Incredibly huge. Today they reported that they have sold 3 Million units in the first 80 days. As a reference it Apple 74 days to ship 1 Million units of the original iPhone, and approximately six months to reach 5 Million units. As a sidenote Apple also informed the market that they got 600 000 pre-orders for the iPhone 4 – in a single day. Amazing. Read the full press release after the jump.
iOS 4 is out
Mount your iPhone and update iTunes and you’ll get the new iOS 4 update which includes multitasking, the new folder feature among a bunch of other cool stuff.

21 forbidden iPhone apps
Many iPhone users are jailbreaking their phones to get access to the forbidden applications that Apple don’t want you to run. I haven’t done it myself, but when you look at the apps you can get I admit that it’s tempting. The top thing that I’m missing is multitasking. Here’s a list of 21 forbidden apps that you can get if you jailbreak your iPhone. PhotoTropedelic for iPhone
I just stumbled across this really cool iPhone application that will turn any of your existing photos (or a freshly snapped one) into a lovely piece of pop art. It has lots of different settings which can create lots of different interesting results, and the best part is that you can save the final file as a PDF. More information inside.

iPhone 3G S overheating problem
As you might now the iPhone 3G S has some reported problems with extreme heat, and in some cases it has even damaged the actual case. Here’s an interesting article on the reported problems.
iPhone OS 3 out today
Today Apple will launch the new and updated OS 3.0 for iPhone and iPod touch. I just checked iTunes but it wasn’t available yet.
