Rentals launched in Sweden

Apple has just launched movie rentals in the Swedish version of iTunes. Many Swedes have been using American accounts for a long time to be able to buy and rent movies, but now we have finally got this feature launched in Sweden as well. Perhaps other countries got this tonight as well?
Poll: What do you think, an unforgettable day?
As you might know, Apple did an announcement yesterday that they had some ‘unforgettable’ news today. It all ended up with that they had made all Beatles albums available in iTunes. Unforgettable or not?

Lame Apple, very lame

Ok, yesterday’s PR stunt from Apple was one of the lamest things ever. ‘A day you’ll never forget’?! Beatles coming to iTunes? Come on! People who’s into Beatles most probably have had all of the Beatles tracks in their private iTunes library for 4-5 years. Lame Apple, very lame!
Something big from Apple tomorrow
If you have visited Apple.com during the last few hours, you have read the sign above. Apparently Apple is – out of the blue – unveiling something big regarding iTunes tomorrow. Could it be an all-you-can-eat (listen) buffet account? We will see tomorrow.
iTunes 10.1

Apple just launched the new iTunes 10.1, which now supports AirPlay and devices running iOS 4.2. This also means that iOS 4.2 most probably will be launched for the iPad in the next days.
Hacked iTunes accounts
It looks like both the App Store and iTunes has been hacked during the weekends. A bunch of iTunes users got their accounts hacked and someone bought apps and reviewed them with high ratings. Read more about it over at TheNextWeb.

The Spotify iPhone app
Spotify is a groundbreaking music application that currently not is available in the US, but they plan to launch in the America within the next couple of months. Today they unveiled their upcoming iPhone app (if they get it launched, personally I think they will have some major problems with getting it through due to it’s direct competition with iTunes). You will need a Spotify premium account to get it going, currently €9.99 per month. A video of the app in action is available after the jump.
Sopranos to iTunes
Today Apple announced that they signed a deal with HBO to bring you a bunch of their hit series to iTunes. You will get goodies such as The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Deadwood, Rome, Flight of the Conchords and The Wire. Shows are available in the US, UK, Canada and Germany. Full press release after the jump.
iTunes to go head on with DVD sales
Apple is supposed to announce that they have struck a deal with all major studios (Fox, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, Sony Pictures, Lionsgate and New Line) and enabling Apple to launch the movies on iTunes the exact same day as they are released on DVD or blu-ray.
