The New MacBook Air
The most interesting part of the show was when Steve Jobs showed the ‘one more thing‘ of the evening – the new MacBook Air family. They come in two models, 11-inch and 13-inch models, and are quite affordable as well starting at just US$999. They are available today and the best model you can get is the 13-inch with 256 GB of storage, 4GB of RAM, and a 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. All models comes with solid state flash storage and the new really cool ‘instant on’ features. More info and images inside.
MacBook Air Project
This is a pretty cool project built using a ‘broken’ MacBook Air, the new Magic Trackpad and a keyboard. It’s basically a computer inside the keyboad, just like the old C64, Spectrum or Amiga. Neat project!

11.6″ MacBook Air coming this autumn
According to an article published over at Digitimes.com Apple will unveil a new MacBook Air featuring a smaller 11.6-inch screen this autumn. The current MacBook Air features a 13.3-inch screen so expect the new Air to be lighter and perhaps thinner. The new MacBook Air will feature a new Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor instead of the current 1.86GHz or 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

MacBook Air SSD price cut
It looks like Apple has slashed the price of the MacBook Air with a solid state disk with $500. The screenshots above are from today and a month ago. $2600 is still a lot of money but a bit more decent. And just to let you know – the same freakin machine will cost you $4676 if you buy it from Sweden…that’s correct $2000 more than the US price.
