Of course it works! – What’s the surprise there? If you excercise regularly you will lose weight compared to if you didn’t. Whether you stepped up and down off a(n expensive) plastic plate or the first step in a flight of stairs doesn’t make any difference.
I find it more fascinating that using the Wii Fit actually makes images sharper.
