Wikihood for iPad

Wikihood is a free app for iPad that pulls information from Wikipedia based on your geo location and present it either based on distance, relevance or ratings. It’s a quite clever application and even though the interface isn’t top notch it’s still a very cool application. I learned stuff about my neighborhood that I didn’t knew before.

All information is presented in a standard Wikipedia way and it all feels very familiar if you’re used to Wikipedia. One bad thing is that you can’t search on Wikipedia (available in a premium version called ‘Wikihood Plus for iPad – $6.99) but other than that I really like the app. Even though the interface could use a bit more work. But overall it’s a free app, with interesting data and is nicely put together. Go get it.
