Despite the lack of iPhone 4 units around the world Apple will start distributing the phone to 17 more countries this Friday (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland). My guess is that all these countries will get very limited stocks of the phone and build up long waiting lists of customers waiting to get the new phone.
You got to have some true skills to be able to paint like David Kassan in the video above but it’s still cool to see how the iPad can be used. The model sat for 3 hours and he recorded this video (timelapsed) showing how he put it all together with an iPad and the Brushes app. Pretty impressive!
The Pac-Man arcade game was released in 1980 by Namco and it’s probably the most famous arcade game ever. 1up.com has published a few concept drawings made by Toru Iwatani, the creator of Pac-Man, from 1979. Pretty cool stuff.

Here’s a fresh interview with Jay Freeman, aka Saurik, the creator of the original Jailbreak showing up a jailbreaked iPhone 4 and talks a bit about the actual jailbreak.
One of the biggest problems with the old version of Skype for iPhone was that it didn’t multitask. You had to have the app open for anybody to be able to call you. With the latest version that got released yesterday you can receive calls while other apps are running and you can even continue your calls while you switch to another app. So if they just add video chat everything will be great!

I just stumbled across this photo via the lovely FlipBoard app on my iPad. Apparently it’s made by Aaron Draczynski and is just a mockup but I guess that someone probably will start producing these really soon! Brilliant.

Apple presented record revenues for their fiscal third quarter (ended June 26), with 3.47 million Macs sold, 8.4 million iPhones, 9.41 million iPods and 3.27 million iPads. Pretty amazing.
We all know that the iPhone 4 can shoot great HD video but it’s quite shaky and here’s a nice solution to get much more stable footage. Spencer S. Watson has built a simple $30 steadicam with parts from Home Depot and your local skate shop. The demo video looks quite promising:
